Army - GCSS - MD/MDS Contract - MRAS

The General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the United States Army, is conducting market research to gather information for a potential contract related to the Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A) for Medical Devices and Medical Device Systems (MD/MDS). The primary goal of this initiative is to improve accountability and maintenance data integrity for medical devices used by the United States Army Reserve (USAR) units. This effort aims to address deficiencies identified by the United States Army Audit Agency (USAAA) concerning MD/MDS readiness reporting and data accuracy.

The work requested involves providing non-personal services related to GCSS-A MD/MDS Data Processing, Operator Training, and Repair Parts Accountability. Contractors are expected to supply all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items required for these services. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring that USAR units maintain accurate records of their medical devices' maintenance data and accountability throughout the logistical enterprise.

Key objectives include offering data validation services and operator training. These services are crucial in transitioning approximately 30,000 pieces of medical equipment from older systems like SAMS-E and PBUSE to the more modern GCSS-A platform. The transition aims to resolve systemic issues highlighted in previous directives such as HQDA EXORD 138-21 Annex D. By responding effectively to this RFI notice with relevant capabilities and information about similar past projects or experiences, contractors can assist the government in planning future procurement strategies.
