Description

The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), on behalf of the Army, is conducting market research to identify capabilities in support of the Army Community Service (ACS) center's Family Advocacy Program (FAP) at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The primary goal of this initiative is to enhance the services provided to Army soldiers and their families, focusing on education and prevention related to domestic violence, child abuse, and neglect. The program aims to support military families as they navigate various life events and challenges associated with military life.

The contract involves providing non-personal services that include education and administrative support for the ACS center's FAP. Contractors will be responsible for supplying all necessary personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items required to fulfill these services. The work will encompass developing and delivering skill-based classes designed for active-duty Army members, National Guard members in specific capacities, Army Reserve members on active duty training assignments lasting 30 days or more (excluding Title 32 status), other uniformed services residing on Army installations, and eligible family members.

Services under this contract are comprehensive in scope. They include educational programs aimed at raising awareness about abuse and neglect while improving personal relationship skills such as parenting techniques, marriage counseling strategies, anger management tactics, stress management skills, and effective communication methods. Additionally, these programs address coping mechanisms for unique military family challenges like deployment-related stressors or blended family dynamics. By implementing these educational initiatives effectively within the Fort Polk community both among soldiers/units as well as civilians the program seeks to foster healthier relationships within military families while ensuring mission readiness through supportive environments.
