Description

Justification and Approval for other than full and open competition awarded to BAE Systems pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements" for a quantity increase under the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle Full-Rate Production contract W56HZV-23-C-0024.

Background
The Army Contracting Command–Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) is issuing a justification and approval for other than full and open competition awarded to BAE Systems Land & Armaments, LP. This action is in support of the Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV) Full Rate Production (FRP) contract, specifically under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), which allows for procurement from a single responsible source when no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

The AMPV program aims to replace the M113 vehicles to enhance protection levels and interoperability within the Armored Brigade Combat Team.

Work Details
The contract actions will procure up to 703 additional AMPV vehicles and associated kits under the existing FRP(I) contract. The AMPV has five platform variants: General Purpose, Mortar Carrier, Mission Command, Medical Evacuation, and Medical Treatment.
