Armed Protective Security Officer Services state of Arkansas Pre-Solicitation Notice

Background
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Procurement Operations (OPO), Federal Protective Services (FPS), Acquisitions Division (AD) intends to extend the ordering period of Contract 70RFP419DE7000002 with North American Security, Inc. for Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services throughout the state of Arkansas.

This extension is necessary to allow time for the solicitation and award of a follow-on contract while ensuring continuity of critical security services.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services which are integral to the FPS mission, including responding to terrorist attacks, domestic workplace violence, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and emergency medical situations.

The PSOs will also mitigate threats by detecting firearms and ensuring the safety of federal personnel, visitors, and assets. The task order will be issued for the necessary length of time required but not to exceed six months.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must have extensive screening, training, licensing, and transition capabilities for PSOs under the FPS program.
