ARFF Vehicle Lease

Background
The 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron (27 SOCONS) is issuing a solicitation for the lease of an Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) P-19 1,500 crash vehicle. This contract aims to address a critical shortage of operational crash trucks at Cannon Air Force Base (CAFB), which poses significant risks to personnel and asset safety during fire response operations.

The Cannon AFB Fire Department currently has five out of seven crash trucks out of service, leading to an imbalance in their fire response capabilities across two locations: Cannon AFB and Melrose Air Force Range (MAFR).

Work Details
The contractor will provide one ARFF P-19 1,500 crash vehicle for lease. The initial lease period will be three months, with an option to extend for an additional six months, totaling nine months of use. The vehicle is essential for meeting firefighting gallonage requirements based on the largest assigned aircraft, such as the C-130 and Boeing 767.

The lease is necessary due to the current operational limitations of the existing fleet, which includes several vehicles that are out of service and unable to meet the required firefighting capabilities. The contractor must ensure that the vehicle meets FAA standards for ARFF operations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from March 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025, covering a total of nine months.

Cannon Air Force Base and Melrose Air Force Range.
