Architectural Engineering Services at Arlington National Cemetery Southern Expansion   2

Background
The Norfolk District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is awarding a follow-on Firm Fixed Price Architect-Engineer (A/E) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract on a sole source basis to HNTB Corporation in support of the Arlington National Cemetery Southern Expansion Project (ANCSE) in Arlington, Virginia.

HNTB is the Designer of Record for the original design of ANCSE and will not perform work for any other project or program under this specific contract action. The contract aims to provide critical support services to Arlington National Cemetery, which has undergone significant changes and expansions since its initial planning stages.

Work Details
The scope of work primarily consists of design, acquisition support, program management, and construction phase services specifically for the ANCSE project. The anticipated tasks include multidiscipline design and/or other Architect-Engineer Professional Services necessary for the design, acquisition, program management, and construction phases.

The contract will also involve addressing additional design services required due to evolving project needs such as road realignments and integrating new elements like the Air Force Memorial into the Cemetery. Task orders will be negotiated separately based on pre-established contract rates and funded with Cemetery Expenses appropriations.

Period of Performance
The contract is intended to establish a seven-year IDIQ contract consisting of a five-year base period with two one-year options.
