Description

Project: Architect-Engineer (AE) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for GEOTECHNICAL DESIGN AND RELATED SERVICES, VARIOUS LOCATIONS, PRIMARILY ALASKA DISTRICT.
Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is seeking Architect-Engineer (AE) services through an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for Geotechnical Design and Related Services primarily in the Alaska District. The contract will be awarded based on demonstrated competence and qualifications for the required work, with a focus on compliance with subcontracting goals. The contract type is indefinite delivery, firm fixed price over a term of 5 years, with an anticipated award of three to five task order contracts with a shared capacity of $25 million.

Work Details
The selected AE firm(s) will be required to provide geotechnical design recommendations, subsurface/field investigation, geotechnical reports and studies, forensic geotechnical analysis, field and laboratory testing of soil, rock, groundwater, and various construction materials, groundwater studies, material source evaluations, geologic and geophysical investigations/surveys, and environmental site investigations involving hazardous, toxic, or radiological waste. Additionally, they will need to provide geotechnical analyses and recommendations for various structures and facilities including foundations, pavements, earth structures, embankments, dams, levees, harbors, underground structures, slopes; ground improvements; analysis of static and seismic stability; site-specific seismic hazard assessments; performance monitoring and instrumentation; and selection of appropriate abatement methods concerning hazardous materials. The firm must also have sufficient staff to perform supervising field geotechnical investigations using drilling equipment and personnel; furnishing sampling and analysis plans; conducting exposure assessments; performing geotechnical and/or chemical data reviews consistent with USACE protocols. Arctic design experience is required. The AE will also be required to use the ProjNet design review system to respond to USACE review comments on deliverables.

Period of Performance
The contract has a period of performance of 5 years.

Place of Performance
The contract work will primarily take place in the Alaska District service areas but may also include areas managed by the Honolulu District. The location of projects includes Local, State, and Federal Lands or U.S. Military installations.
