Aquatic Vegetation Management Services, MKARNS

Background
The McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (MKARNS) is a multipurpose project developed for commercial towing traffic, flood damage reduction, hydropower, recreation, and water supply.

This contract aims to provide aquatic vegetation management services on Corps owned lands and water resources in MKARNS-Pool 2. The services will target aquatic vegetation that negatively impacts authorized purposes in and around Pool 2, which includes the Arkansas River and its associated tributaries between river mile 13.3 and 50.2.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all necessary management, personnel, materials, supplies, parts, tools, equipment, fuel, transportation, and vehicles to perform aquatic vegetation management services as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).

Key tasks include:
1. Chemical Application: Application of chemicals to control invasive aquatic vegetation in various environments such as open water and wetlands. A minimum of a 95% kill rate of targeted invasive plants must be achieved without harming native species.
2. The contractor must ensure that all services comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
3. Quality Control: Establish a quality control plan to ensure compliance with contract specifications and maintain service quality throughout the contract period.

Period of Performance
The contract has a base period of performance from the date of award through February 28, 2026, with two optional periods extending from March 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027 and from March 1, 2027 through February 29, 2028.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Pool 2 of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System.
