Antenna Group OE-120()/UPX AIMS Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP)   2

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to award a sole source order to BAE Systems Information & Electronic Systems Integration, Inc. of Nashua, NH to build and test 3 Engineering Development Model variant OE-120B/UPX antenna systems as developed in the SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) Phase 2 effort for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS). The Government requires design modification, verification, and qualification of the Antenna Group OE-120B/UPX to meet form/function requirements for use on ships.

Since BAE is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the OE-120B/UPX, this acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements". The Government does not intend to use the provisions of FAR Part 12 for this acquisition.
