NOTIFICATOIN OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Fisher Worklife Solutions LLC. To provide statistical and research methodological services for analyzing publicly available, deidentified data from the Health and Retirement Study (HRS) and Occupational Information Network (O*NET) databases.

This project requires professional services of a research social scientist with expertise in advanced statistical and research methodology, subject matter expertise in workforce aging, job characteristics, work and cognition, socioeconomics and aging, and occupational health psychology to perform research and data analysis services. Services include applying advanced research methodology and statistical skills to research using data from the Health and Retirement Study (HRS) and Occupational Information Network (O*NET) databases. Services also include examining longitudinal relationships between demographic characteristics and occupational safety and health (OSH) related outcomes, and the potential moderating role of job characteristics. Extensive knowledge of the complex HRS dataset is required.

The tasks to be performed in this requirement build off previous work completed by Fisher Worklife Solutions LLC, a Woman-Owned Small Business. Fisher Worklife Solutions has the required knowledge of the HRS dataset, and they are the only vendor capable of providing these services with seamless continuity and without disruption and delays to the project. The period of performance for this service is 9/17/2024 03/16/2027.

This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responses received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any response should be emailed to contract specialist at xnp0@cdc.gov by 10:00am Eastern Time, September 9, 2024.

Background
