AN/WSN-12 Inertial Navigation System

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue a competitive solicitation for the AN/WSN-12 Inertial Navigation System requirements. The AN/WSN-12 system is the United States Navy's (USN) next generation Inertial Navigation System, an integral Positioning and Navigation component providing sustained and consistent geographic position and precise time references for safety of navigation, communications, and weapons command and control.

In conjunction with this notice, NAVSEA is releasing a draft copy of solicitation sections B and C for industry review. The Government will not provide printed copies of the solicitation. NAVSEA will accept feedback on the draft solicitation through August 19, 2020. Please use the provided question and answer form and submit unclassified responses via email to stacy.crisman1@navy.mil and mary.l.case@navy.mil. Be sure to include the name of your company and reference N00024-20-R-5231 Draft Solicitation in the subject line of the message. Please contact the points of contact above for instructions on submitting classified responses.

Prospective offerors may also request a copy of the WSN-12 technical data package for review. Each firm requesting access to this controlled information must execute the attached Terms Of Use Agreement and submit the signed form to stacy.crisman1@navy.mil and mary.l.case@navy.mil. Please include the name of your company and reference N00024-20-R-5231 WSN-12 TDP Request in the subject line of the message.

The Government intends to schedule an Industry Day to further engage potential offerors. Interested firms should monitor beta.sam for release of additional information.

All questions or comments submitted may be subject to public release. NAVSEA will consider all feedback received, but makes not guarantees that specific suggestions or recommendations will be incorporated into the final solicitation. As the posted documents are currently in draft status, the content of the final solicitation is subject to change without notice.

This is not a request for proposal (RFP). This does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses in any form are not offers and the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this is purely voluntary.
