Amphibious Floats and Installation for Quest Kodiak 100 Aircraft   2

Background
The U.S. Forest Service (USFS) is seeking to obtain one set of light weight Composite Amphibious floats certified for installation on the USFS Quest Kodiak 100 aircraft. The USFS owns and operates a fleet of 4 DHC-2 MK1 Beaver aircraft, two of which are currently out of service due to discrepancies found in conjunction with AD-2022-00205-A compliance. The loss of these two assets this close to the start of the 2023 fire season deals a significant blow to the USFS’s ability to perform its fire/support mission.

The USFS also owns and operates two Quest Kodiak 100’s, that have standard landing gear installed, but have the capability to operate on floats. One of these aircraft is available and could be operationally ready to fill the gap in region 10, Alaska, if it was fitted with Amphibious floats.

Work Details
The solicitation requires the offeror to provide amphibious floats and installation meeting all requirements of this solicitation and be an FAA certified repair station (CRS) authorized to perform the work. The offeror shall submit a proposal in response to this RFQ including SF-1449, block 17a and blocks 30a-30c completed, dated, and signed; fill in the appropriate information requested for Section B Schedule of Items; provide proposal in the format required by Section B.1 of this solicitation; provide responses to Sections E.4; contact information for an individual with the authority to bind (C. 9).
