Background
The contract is issued by the United States Air Force for maintenance, repair, and inspection services of vertical transportation equipment (VTE) at Kunsan Air Base. The goal of this contract is to ensure continuous and safe operation of the VTE systems, which includes elevators and escalators, in accordance with applicable safety codes and standards.

Work Details
The contractor will provide full maintenance services for the VTE at Kunsan AB, which includes all inspections, maintenance, repairs, replacements, and routine and emergency service calls. The work must comply with various standards including ASME A17.1-2007, ANSI/ASME A17.2-2010, NFPA standards, UFC 3-600-01, OSHA standards, and OEM recommendations.

Excluded services include alterations or modernizations to the equipment, damages caused by vandalism or acts of God, cosmetic repairs, and routine cleaning of the interior of cars and exterior doors. The contractor is responsible for determining the amount of service visits required to keep the VTE operational safely.
