In 2024, the Library opened a new 3,700-square-foot Treasures Gallery that enables the Library to share the collections that belong to the American people and that deepens the connections visitors will make with theme. This gallery includes a permanent interactive media station, projections on the walls of the exhibit, and a series of audio modules throughout the gallery. The Library seeks an experienced media design firm to create media experiences for the Library's next showcase theme within this gallery, Founding Phrases, which explores the legacy of the Declaration of Independence in honor of the semi-quincentennial of the Declaration (Founding Phrases Exhibit). The Library is a federal partner for the America250 Commission.

The work to be performed under this contract includes development and production of media for the Treasures Gallery.

Background
In 2024, the Library of Congress opened a new 3,700-square-foot Treasures Gallery to share collections that belong to the American people. The gallery features an interactive media station, projections, and audio modules.

The Library seeks a media design firm to create experiences for the Founding Phrases exhibit, which honors the semi-quincentennial of the Declaration of Independence. This initiative aligns with the Library's mission and its role as a federal partner for the America250 Commission.

Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive audiovisual (AV) design services for the Founding Phrases exhibit in the Treasures Gallery. Key tasks include:
1. Development and production of one linear media piece (6-10 minutes) that highlights the Founding Phrases theme.
2. The media piece should leverage 'treasures' to tell the Library's story and activate space through storytelling.
3. Display on a ten-channel 4K video system across five projection surfaces on each wall of the gallery.
4. Audio playback via a ten-channel audio system with speakers at each projection surface.
5. Collaboration with the Library's exhibition team and curatorial experts to enhance AV presentations.

Period of Performance
The contract period is from July 7, 2025, to February 28, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Treasures Gallery located in Washington, DC.
