Description

The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Global Health (GH), is soliciting proposals from Small Business Entities to provide services for the Localize Global Health Security (LGHS) Contract, as described in the attached RFP.

Background
The United States Government, represented by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Global Health (GH), is soliciting proposals from Small Business Entities to provide services for the Localize Global Health Security (LGHS) Contract. The purpose of the LGHS contract is to work with local entities, as defined in ADS 302 Local Competition Authority Pilot Program, to address prioritized critical health security gaps at the sub-national level. The LGHS contract will complement the multisectoral, cross-technical approaches of other GHS programs to move focus countries closer to achieving the GHSA 2024 target.

Work Details
The Contractor shall utilize local entities to strengthen country capacities to prevent, detect and respond to infectious disease threats. The Contractor shall work in collaboration with a range of global health security stakeholders, including but not limited to host country governments, United States Government Interagency partners such as the Centers for Disease Control, regional stakeholders such as the Africa Centers for Disease Control and multilateral partners such as WHO and OIE to address gaps in global health security at the sub-national level through small grants and technical assistance to local entities.
The LGHS contract will also advance the USAID's prioritization of local partnerships as a core aspect of the long-term sustainability of our development work.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is expected to be two (2) base years with three (3) option years one year each.
