Background
The 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (1ABCT) is scheduled to deploy to EUCOM in July 2025. This contract aims to ensure that 56 pieces of military equipment belonging to 1ABCT are sanitized before being loaded onto vessels in the U.S. Current agreements between the U.S. Government and the European Union mandate agricultural sanitization using Virkon-S disinfectant for all units entering EUCOM through European ports.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, chemicals, equipment, fuel, and protective gear for the disinfection of deploying military equipment. The disinfection process involves spraying the equipment with a 1% solution of Virkon-S and ensuring a 10-minute wet contact time. Specific tasks include:
- Establishing a Quality Control Plan that includes an inspection program, deficiency identification and correction processes, documentation methods, trend analysis, and surveillance methods.
- Conducting agricultural washing operations at Custer Hill Wash Rack and agricultural disinfection operations at Camp Funston, Fort Riley, KS.
- Maintaining a daily log of rejected and completed disinfections.
- Ensuring that Virkon-S does not drain off treated equipment onto the ground by collecting rinsate in catchment basins.
- Establishing sufficient wash areas to enable simultaneous treatment of at least six pieces of equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from December 17 to December 18, 2024.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed in the vicinity of Custer Hill Wash Rack for agricultural washing operations and in the area bounded by 7th Street, G Street, 12th Street, and F Street on Camp Funston, Fort Riley, KS for agricultural disinfection with Virkon-S.
