Background
The amendment is for the P-9837 Ambulatory Care Center and Dental Clinic Replacement at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (NSGB), Cuba. The amendment is intended for offerors selected to proceed to Phase II, as identified in the offerors Evaluation Notice (EN) provided separately from this amendment.

Work Details
The purpose of the amendment is to provide responses to Performance Planning Instructions (PPIs) related to various aspects of the construction project, including electrical power system utility study, governing standards for Cuba, hazardous waste management plan, construction waste management and disposal, design and construction quality control, fire suppression water supply and equipment, room requirements, and telecommunications system specific requirements. The contractor is expected to maximize waste diversion and document recycling efforts.
Additionally, the contractor must comply with specific requirements related to refrigerators and freezers in food service areas and those containing pharmaceuticals, immunizations, laboratory samples/reagents, morgue or other biological materials.
