Background
This solicitation is issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the upgrade of Air Handling Units (AHUs) 18-20-22 as part of their ongoing efforts to improve mechanical systems.

Each classification has specific wage rates and fringe benefits as outlined in the wage determination documents attached to the solicitation.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed in Spokane County, Washington.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific requirements including possession of relevant contractor licenses for trades involved in the project.
Additionally, bidders are required to provide bid/payment/performance bonds as well as proof of insurance.
Compliance with safety qualifications and experience thresholds in similar projects may also be necessary.

The prior work is described as “CON NRM 668-21-102 UPGRADE AHU-1/4 MECHANICAL SYSTEMS,” which is similar in scope and purpose to the current effort to upgrade AHUs 18–20–22 and associated mechanical/HVAC systems, suggesting a continuation of the same facility mechanical upgrade program.
