Amendment 0002 Tree Maintenance Services at Fort Lyon National Cemetery

Background
The Department of Veteran Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is seeking to award a firm, fixed price contract for tree maintenance services at Fort Lyon National Cemetery. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and safety of trees within the cemetery, which is part of the agency's mission to maintain national cemeteries.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for tree maintenance services including: tree and stump removal, pruning, trimming, cabling, cavity repair, root pruning, and the removal and disposal of resulting waste and debris. Specific tasks include:
- Deadwood Pruning 1 for fourteen (14) large trees (over 40 feet in height or over 24 inches in DBH).
- OPTION for Deadwood Pruning 2 for six (6) large trees (over 40 feet in height or over 24 inches in DBH).
- OPTION for Deadwood Pruning 2 for one (1) medium tree (height between 25 and 40 feet AND DBH between 12 and 24 inches). The contractor must also provide a Certified Arborist as a site manager who will oversee the work ensuring compliance with specifications and maintaining proper conduct among workers.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will commence upon contract award and/or notice to proceed, lasting until accepted completion by the Government within a maximum timeframe of sixty (60) calendar days.
