The 42nd Contracting Squadron, 50 LeMay Plaza South, Bldg. 804, Maxwell AFB, AL has a requirement to procure services to install fiber optic cable and provide and install three (3) cameras in support of the 42d Security Forces Squadron (42SFS) at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The solicitation number for this procurement is F2X3B25055AW01 and is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated clauses and provisions and (see Attachment 1) are those in effect in the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2025-03, Defense Publication Notice (DPN) 20250117 and Department of the Air Force Acquisition Circular (DAFAC) 2024-10-16.

Background
The 42nd Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, AL, has a requirement to procure services for the installation of fiber optic cable and the provision and installation of three cameras in support of the 42d Security Forces Squadron (42SFS).

This initiative is part of efforts to enhance security measures at the base, particularly in unmonitored areas, to mitigate risks associated with undetected breaches.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide the following services and materials:
1. Fiber Optic Cabling Material as per Statement of Requirements (SOR) paragraphs 2.1-2.3.9.
- Direction Boring and 2” pipe (1450 FT)
- L-Com Weatherproof enclosure or equal (1 EA)
- L-Com Pole Mounting Kits or equal (1 EA)
- Quazite cover with Communications logo (3 EA)
- Quazite box (3 EA)
- Splice Cassette, 12F, LC-DUP (1 EA)
- Fiber Optic cable tags (2 EA)
- 12-strand SM FOC (1600 FT)
2. Cameras as per SOR paragraphs 2.4-2.4.8 (1 EA).
3. Installation services as per SOR paragraphs 3.1-3.3.10 (1 EA). All products must be new; refurbished or used items will not be accepted.
