Amendment 0002 - Combined Synopsis Solicitation - 36C78626Q50083 - HVAC and BMS Maintenance Services for Calverton National Cemetery -- J041   2

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is issuing this Combined Synopsis Solicitation (36C78626Q50083) for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Building Management System (BMS) maintenance services at Calverton National Cemetery.

The mission of the National Cemetery Administration is to honor veterans with a final resting place and lasting memorials that commemorate their service to the nation. This contract aims to ensure that the standards of maintenance, appearance, and operational procedures at the cemetery reflect the nation's concern for those interred there.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide complete HVAC and BMS services maintenance, which includes:
1. Furnishing all equipment, supplies, materials, labor, and supervision necessary for maintenance.
2. Performing preventative maintenance inspections on all HVAC equipment listed in Appendix A.
3. Seasonal maintenance inspections including:
- Spring: Replace air filters and belts, clean filters, lubricate motors/pumps/bearings, check electrical controls, startup cooling operations, check refrigerant pressures, ensure proper operation of dampers and exhaust fans.
- Fall: Similar tasks as Spring with additional checks for heating operations.
4. Annual cleaning and reporting to be completed together with Spring preventative service or at another appropriate time.
5. Providing labor for critical failure service calls during operational hours (7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday) and approximately two Saturdays when requested by the Contracting Officer.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a twelve-month base year from the date of award with four one-year options if exercised.
