*Amendment 0001* Lawn Maintenance - NWS Sterling, VA

Background
The solicitation is for a performance-based service contract for grounds maintenance services at the National Weather Service Sterling Field Support Center (SFSC) located in Sterling, VA. The contract is being entered into pursuant to Simplified Acquisition Procedures.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials for the general care of the existing outdoor landscape items (trees, shrubs, grass, and planting beds) at the SFSC. This includes mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, and other landscaping maintenance tasks. The contractor is also responsible for maintaining a Quality Control Program to ensure that the requirements of the contract are met.
The work statement provides detailed specifications for mowing, trimming, edging, landscaping, mulching, and field mowing.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the base year is from 06/22/2022 to 06/21/2023. There are also option years included in the contract: Option Year 1: 06/22/2023 to 06/21/2024; Option Year 2: 06/22/2024 to 06/21/2025; Option Year 3: 06/22/2025 to 06/21/2026; Option Year 4: 06/22/2026 to 06/21/2027.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance will be at the Sterling Field Support Center located at 43741 Weather Service Road Sterling, VA 20166.
