Background
The Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) is seeking to rent equipment for the Ford Project at Pier 5A. The goal of this contract is to provide essential air compression and drying services through the rental of specific equipment that meets stringent specifications.

Work Details
The contractor will provide three (3) 800 cubic feet per minute (CFM) Grade D Air Compressors and three (3) Regenerative Air Dryer Units with a minimum capacity of 930 CFM. The compressors must be oil-free, rotary screw designs capable of delivering Grade D air as per CGA G-7.1 or ISO 8573-1 Class 0. Each compressor must include an electric moisture separator after the cooler, be electrically powered suitable for 460 VAC, 3-phase, 60HZ, and capable of running on a 400 amp circuit breaker.

They should operate continuously outdoors and withstand exposure to weather and saltwater air, with all components meeting or exceeding NEMA Type 4 standards for outdoor use. The compressors must have fully automatic controls, alarms, and indicators requiring minimal monitoring.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is from June 1, 2026, to May 17, 2027, with two six-month option periods.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY), specifically inside the NNSY waterfront CIA area in support of the Ford Project at Pier 5A.

Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity appears to have a closely related prior contract, N4215826PS020, awarded to Mil Corps for $59,280 with performance from 01/19/26 to 05/19/26. That prior award involved rental of oil-free electric air compressors and regenerative air dryers at Naval Station Norfolk, which aligns with the current requirement to rent Grade D air compressors and regenerative air dryer units at Norfolk Naval Shipyard for the Ford Project at Pier 5A. The equipment type and rental-based delivery model suggest the current effort may be a continuation or scaling of the same support need.
