The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award on a competitive basis, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 15, a single or multiple single, Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract(s) for Sigonella Student Transportation Services, DoDEA-Europe South District. Services will be for a potential 5-year period, which includes a Base Period of one (1) year and four (4) one-year Option Periods, with an additional 6-months service in accordance with FAR 52.217-8.

No information concerning the solicitation or requests for clarifications will be provided in response to telephone calls. All inquiries/questions must be submitted in writing via email to Ms. Adwoa Essel-Akoli at Adwoa.Essel-Akoli@dodea.edu and Ms. Marcia Lee at Marcia.Lee@dodea.edu with the subject line HE1254-24-R-2005 RFP Questions per instructions in the solicitation.

DoDEA reserves the right to send hard copies of the solicitation package directly to local vendors in the Host Nation.

Background
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing pre-kindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD). DoDEA operates globally, with 160 accredited schools in 8 districts located in 11 foreign countries, 7 states, Guam, and Puerto Rico. The agency employs approximately 11,828 employees who serve more than 69,000 children of active-duty military and DoD civilian families. DoDEA is committed to providing a world-class education for military families' school-aged children.

Work Details
The contract requires the provision of Sigonella Student Transportation Services for a potential 5-year period, including a Base Period of one year and four one-year Option Periods. The services include Sigonella Daily Commute (DC) Student Transportation Services and Sigonella Special Needs (SPED) Student Transportation Services. The contractor shall provide vehicles and drivers to transport passengers on specified route schedules as per the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The seating capacity for all passenger ranges is exclusive of the restricted seating as identified in the PWS.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a potential 5-year period, including a Base Period of one year and four one-year Option Periods, with an additional 6-month service in accordance with FAR 52.217-8.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Sigonella Elementary School, located at BASE NATO SIGONELLA NAS 1, SS 192 KM 96 CTR FONTANAZZA, EDIFICIO NUMERO 216, 95040.
