Description

The AMC Museum has a requirement for the preparation and painting of historic artifact C-5As, C-141As, and A-26Cs. The contractor will guarantee proper restoration and routine maintenance to ensure the aircraft are safe and properly configured to accurately reflect Dover Air Force history, heritage, and traditions. IAW DAFI 84-103, the historical property custodians shall accomplish these functions on a preplanned, scheduled basis. The contractor will furnish all labor, tools, materials, personnel, facilities, and incidentals necessary to accomplish corrosion control and painting of artifact aircraft.

Background
The AMC Museum, located at Dover Air Force Base, has a requirement for the preparation and painting of historic aircraft artifacts including C-5As, C-141As, and A-26Cs. The contractor will ensure proper restoration and routine maintenance to maintain the safety and historical accuracy of these aircraft, reflecting the history, heritage, and traditions of Dover Air Force Base.

This requirement is in accordance with DAFI 84-103, which mandates that historical property custodians perform these functions on a scheduled basis.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, personnel, facilities, and incidentals necessary to accomplish corrosion control and painting of the artifact aircraft. The specific tasks include:
1. Preparation and painting of the C-5A aircraft in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
2. Preparation and painting of the C-141A aircraft in accordance with the PWS.
3. Preparation and painting of the A-26C aircraft in accordance with the PWS.

All work must be completed by 1 September 2025.

Period of Performance
The contract work will be performed over a period leading up to 1 September 2025.
