Ambulance Services for the Robley Rex VA Medical Center   2

Background
The Robley Rex VA Medical Center, its associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs), and affiliated healthcare clinics require contracted non-emergency ambulance transportation services. The hospital has 98 inpatient beds and sees approximately 22,375 inpatient admissions and 276,375 outpatient visits a year. The main campus is located at 800 Zorn Ave Louisville Kentucky 40206, serving over 62,919 veterans primarily from the Louisville area and its Community-Based Outpatient Clinics.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for the provision of Stretcher Transports, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Critical Care Transport (CCT) services. The contractor shall make these ambulance services available to the VA as needed, 24 hours a day, seven days a week (24/7), including weekends and holidays. The contractor shall provide Emergent, non-emergent Stretcher Transports, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Critical Care Transport (CCT) Tier 1, 2, and 3 ambulance services on an as-needed basis in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Additionally, the contractor shall have a Kentucky Board of Emergency Medical Services (KYBEMS) issued Certificate of Need (CON) to operate ambulances within the state of Kentucky.

Period of Performance
The contract will result in a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) with a period of performance from 07/27/2024 thru 07/26/2029. The BPA will consist of five one-year ordering periods which will allow for price escalation each year.
