Background
The contract is issued by the Federal Prison Industries (UNICOR) to procure bulk quantities of Oat and Alfalfa Hay to support agricultural cattle operations. The hay will be used for feeding purposes of cattle, aligning with the agency's mission to provide goods and services that support the federal prison system.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all materials, packaging, and transportation necessary to supply a total of 400,000 pounds of Oat and Alfalfa Hay. The specific requirements include:
- 100,000 lbs of Alfalfa Hay (Large Bales)
- 100,000 lbs of Alfalfa Hay (Small Bales)
- 100,000 lbs of Oat Hay (Large Bales)
- 100,000 lbs of Oat Hay (Small Bales)

All hay must be provided in square bales; round bales are not acceptable. Technical specifications include:
- Alfalfa Hay must have a moisture content not exceeding 16.5% and a crude protein level of at least 15.9%.
- Oat Hay specifications require a moisture content between 30% and 40%, with a crude protein level between 30% and 40%. All products will be delivered FOB Destination to the Government-designated delivery location(s).

Period of Performance
Delivery is required by August 31, 2026.
