ALCO 251 Engine Overhaul Kits

This is a combined synopsis/ solicitation for the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter POLAR STAR.

This Sole Source supply requirement is for the ALCO 251 Engine Parts Kits as identified in the Listing of Kit Content. The ALCO 251 Engine Parts Kits must adhere to the form, fit, and function for the maintenance of the 251 series ALCO Engines in service onboard USCGC POLAR STAR. All parts must be manufactured by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) who currently holds the proprietary rights to all technical data. Market Research reveals that Fairbanks Morse, LLC is the only source that can manufacture the kits and ensure compatibility with the existing onboard equipment and conformity to the OEM design and material requirements.

Anticipated award date is August 24, 2023.
