Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for the Alabama National Cemetery Gravesite Expansion Phase 3 project. The mission of the National Cemetery Administration is to honor veterans by providing them with a final resting place and memorials that commemorate their service.

This contract aims to expand the gravesite facilities at the Alabama National Cemetery, enhancing the services provided to veterans and their families.

Work Details
The contractor is responsible for providing all construction services necessary to complete the project as outlined in the statement of work, construction drawings, and specifications. Key tasks include:
- Gravesite expansion involving pre-placed crypts, in-ground cremains sites, and columbarium niches.
- Construction of columbarium walls.
- IT improvements for the administration and maintenance buildings.
- Replacement of service seals.
- Construction of roads and bridges.
- Installation of signage, site furnishings, landscaping, and an irrigation system.

Additionally, there are options for further work including additional niches, irrigation pump replacement, and further installation of preplaced crypts as specified in the construction drawings.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the award notice to proceed and complete it within 545 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Alabama National Cemetery located at 3133 Highway 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
