Airey and Tyndall Gate Complexes, Tyndall AFB, Florida   3

This work involves the design and construction of two gate complexes at the main access points of Tyndall AFB to monitor authorized ingress and egress of vehicles. The complexes are the Tyndall Gate (North Side Hwy 98) and Airey Gate (South Side Hwy 98), which are 5 lanes each (3 in and 2 out) with three lane houses, a canopy over the complexes, and an over watch station for each gate. The Tyndall gate includes a one bay commercial vehicle inspection port. The canopies are a self-supported permanent structure that provides cover and protection from the elements for personnel checking identification at the two gates. Supporting facilities include perimeter fences, roadways, and active/passive barriers, utilities (electric service, water, sewer, gas), pavements (paving, walks, curbs and gutters), storm drainage, site improvements, and information systems.
