The contract involves the procurement of the Spydercrane URW375C4URS mini-crawler crane package. This crane system is essential for addressing previous limitations in equipment availability and mission readiness. The specifications include:
- Minimum lift capacity of 6,610 lbs at a 2.5-meter radius
- Maximum lifting height of 48 feet
- Capability to operate in confined or restricted environments, including passage through a 3-foot-wide doorway
- Diesel-powered operation independent of electrical infrastructure
- Tracked drive train for accessing unimproved terrain and reducing weight limitations for delivering parts & tools
- Custom trailer system optimized for transport via standard vehicle, helicopter sling, or C-130/C-17 aircraft
- Safety features including a moment limiter, overload prevention, remote-control capability, and automatic stop functions.
Additionally, it includes a boom-tip-mounted single-person work platform designed for safe elevation of personnel during maintenance tasks and an accessories package that supports deployment in remote locations.
