Background
The solicitation is for the construction of an Aircraft Maintenance Facility Bldg. 649 located on Grand Forks AFB, ND. The project is estimated to have a construction cost between $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. The solicitation is unrestricted and can be accessed through the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://sam.gov/. The solicitation will close on 01 December 2023 for Phase 1. The contractor registration and representations and certifications application are required to be updated annually in SAM.
Work Details
The project scope includes the renovation of Building 649 into an Aircraft Maintenance Facility (AMF) in accordance with various DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) standards. The project involves repurposing and reconfiguring the building's interior, installing new mechanical systems, replacing water lines, upgrading communication and electrical systems, constructing Ground Data Terminals (GDT), and upgrading the electrical capacity to the GDT sites and Bldg. 649 with local electrical provider. The work also includes construction of two Ground Data Terminals (GDT) with associated concrete pads, utilities, security, antenna towers, communication building, lighting, gravel access roads, and duct banks to the building.
Period of Performance
The duration of this project will be 730 days as per Amendment 0002.
Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Grand Forks AFB, ND.
