This is Amendment 2 to the initial ARA, FA8650-18-S-6002. This Amendment provides an update to the Estimated Program Cost for the ARA.

The AFRL Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Survivability program will enable the fulfillment of the Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL) responsibility to the Air Force Material Command (AFMC) Commander as defined in AFI 10-2607 to assist system, command, and joint program offices with research and development (R&D), modeling and simulation (M&S), experimentation, testing, technology demonstrations, and analysis related to CBRN Survivability to mitigate the evolving CBRN threat environment that faces US and allied forces around the world.

Background
The AFRL Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Survivability program will enable the fulfillment of the Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL) responsibility to the Air Force Material Command (AFMC) Commander as defined in AFI 10-2607 to assist system, command, and joint program offices with research and development (R&D), modeling and simulation (M&S), experimentation, testing, technology demonstrations, and analysis related to CBRN Survivability to mitigate the evolving CBRN threat environment that faces US and allied forces around the world.

Work Details
The solicitation is for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Survivability. It is a two-step solicitation. The first step requires white papers to be submitted by 14 Mar 2023 at 5:00PM Wright-Patterson AFB, OH local time. The second step for proposal submission details will be provided to offerors whose white papers are considered to meet the needs of the Air Force. The type of contract/instrument may vary based on the nature of research proposed.
