Description

To meet agency needs, SAF/AQC requires the development of academic programs from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university to educate acquisition senior leader professionals to look through the eyes of industry to understand what drives their behavior along with programs. The specific need is to develop a cadre of Mission-Focused Business Leaders with a better understanding of their industry counterparts' business strategies, motivations, risks and cost structures for the Department of the Air Force.

Background
The Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Contracting, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (SAF/AQC) is the leader for all Air Force Contracting professionals. These professionals are the mission-focused business leaders of the Air Force and must be knowledgeable about US industry capabilities, capital markets and business process innovations related to air, space, cyber and full-spectrum readiness. This contract provides education and training programs to help develop our Air Force acquisition partners become better Mission-Focused Business Leaders. These programs will embrace the current environment to lead innovation and systemic thinking through a renewed emphasis on targeted training to include targeted executive level training for the acquisition workforce that goes beyond DAWIA Level III certification. The net result will be enabling training attendees with better insight and tools necessary to design effective procurement strategies, thus creating a collaborative environment with mission partners (industry and other functionals) at a strategic level and implementation plan(s) at the tactical level.

Work Details
The specific need is to develop a cadre of Mission-Focused Business Leaders with a better understanding of their industry counterparts' business strategies, motivations, risks and cost structures for the Department of the Air Force. Tasking may include, but is not limited to: commercially available courses, developed courses specifically for the Air Force, room and board of course attendees, planning and managing of training courses.
The Contractor shall supply personnel that are considered subject matter experts (SMEs) that include, but are not limited to: Defense Business Industry, Government Contracting, Negotiations, Wall Street Incentives, SEC Filings, Congressional Defense Committees.
The Contractor shall also supply personnel to plan and manage the courses, and be the focal point for Air Force program team.
