Air Boss and Related Services - TAFB Wings Over Solano 2026

Background
The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base is seeking to establish a Firm Fixed Price contract for Air Boss and related services in support of the 2026 Wings Over Solano air show. This initiative is part of the agency's mission to ensure safe and efficient airshow operations, and it is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside requirement.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Air Boss and associated services for the production and execution of the 2026 Wings Over Solano Airshow. Key tasks include:
1. Assistance with airshow development and execution as the Air Boss.
2. Conducting pre-show rules of engagement briefings for incidents/accidents with staff and agencies.
3. Direct control of airshow performers according to the schedule set by the airshow director.
4. Liaison with FAA representatives, emergency personnel, and other agencies before, during, and after the show, providing immediate updates as necessary.
5. Conducting daily safety briefings for all performers prior to each show day.
6. Assisting in the creation and submission of necessary documents such as airshow waiver requests, parachute authorization requests, Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) requests, NOTAMs, and other relevant documentation required for airshow operations.
7. Ensuring safe control of scheduled events in coordination with Air Traffic Control (ATC), managing ground movements during the airshow, and discussing emergency procedures with ATC facilities.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed leading up to and during the 2026 Wings Over Solano air show, including planning phases that may require virtual or in-person meetings as requested by airshow directors.
