Description

This is a solicitation/request for quote to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision, and transportation needed to complete an AHU Chiller Coil Replacement for USDA ARS in Ithica, NY.

All work shall be done in accordance with (IAW) the terms and conditions, drawings, statement of work (SOW) and other attachments set forth in the RFQ.

IAW FAR 36.204 the estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000.

Completion shall be 60 days after award.

Dept. of Labor General Decision #NY20250051 dated 8/8/2025 is applicable to this contract.

Background
The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) is seeking to replace a failed Chilled Water Coil at the Robert W. Holley Center for Agriculture and Health located on the Cornell University Campus in Ithaca, NY.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the efficient operation of the air handling unit by replacing the existing coil with a new, exact replacement, thereby supporting the mission of USDA ARS in agricultural research and health.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, supervision, and transportation necessary to complete the AHU Chiller Coil Replacement.

Specific tasks include:
- Removing and recycling the existing Chilled Water Coil from a 6300 cfm Air Handling Unit located in the Penthouse Mechanical Room;
- Installing a new exact replacement coil;
- Managing demolition and reinstallation of piping and ductwork as necessary;
- Ensuring that work premises are kept clean and free of waste;
- Coordinating access to the site with location management;
- Providing mandatory submittals for coils and materials.

All work must comply with the terms, conditions, drawings, statement of work (SOW), and other attachments set forth in the RFQ.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is 60 calendar days following receipt of notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction project will be performed at 538 Tower Road, Ithaca, NY 14853.
