Background
The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is the lead Federal agency for enhancing the quality, appropriateness, and effectiveness of health services. Established in 1989, AHRQ conducts research that develops evidence-based information on healthcare outcomes, quality, patient safety, cost, use, and access.

The Evidence-Based Practice Centers (EPCs) program was created in 1997 to synthesize scientific literature about important healthcare topics and promote evidence-based practice and decision-making. This solicitation is for the AHRQ Evidence-Based Practice Center (EPC) VII to support the synthesis of scientific evidence and improve healthcare delivery and outcomes.

Work Details
The EPC VII contract will involve a range of tasks including:
1. **Topic Development Brief**: Evaluate topics against established criteria and prepare a brief describing the clinical decisional dilemma.
2. **Systematic Reviews**: Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing literature on specific health topics.
3. **Rapid Reviews**: Provide timely synthesis of evidence on urgent health questions.
4. **Technical Briefs**: Summarize findings from systematic reviews or other evidence syntheses.
5. **Living Reviews**: Continuously update reviews as new evidence becomes available.
6. **Manuscript Preparation**: Prepare reports for publication based on findings.
7. **Presentations**: Deliver findings through webinars or in-person presentations.
8. **Collaboration with Partners**: Engage with stakeholders to refine synthesis questions and ensure relevance of reports.
9. **Quality Assurance Processes**: Implement methods to ensure high-quality deliverables across all tasks.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to be awarded for a period of five years, starting from January 24, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily be performed at the contractor's facilities.
