The solicitation number is FA8601-25-Q-0074. The NAICS Code is 333514 Special Die and Tool, Die Set, Jig and Fixture Manufacturing. The Government (AFLCMC/PZIBB) intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(ii). The proposed source is Phillips Corporation, Federal Division .

The product being procured is a Sodick ALN600G 4 axis CNC Wire EDM that utilizes our already in use, proprietary SODICK controller, operating Sodick conversational EDM software found throughout the shop.

This notice is being published for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotations received by the response date specified in this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.

The entire communication must be contained in a single e-mail that does not exceed 5 megabytes including attachments, if any. E-mails with compressed files are not permitted. Note that e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e., .exe or .zip files). Background
The Government (AFLCMC/PZIBB) intends to procure a Sodick ALN600G 4 axis CNC Wire EDM machine for the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). The procurement is necessary for a prototype shop that requires efficient programming capabilities. The machine must utilize the existing proprietary SODICK® controller format to avoid setbacks in software comprehension and machine integration, which would incur unnecessary costs and learning curves.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of a Sodick ALN600G PRO Wire EDM machine with the following specifications:
- **Type of Machine**: 4-axis ALN600G PRO model Sodick CNC Wire EDM, equipped with a Sodick WS5P Rotary / Indexing Table - SPW-E control option.
- **Travel Capacity**: Minimum travel of 23” X, 15” Y, 13” Z, 5” U, 5” V; maximum travel must not exceed 24” X, 16” Y, 14” Z, 6” U, 6” V.
- **Floor Space**: Maximum operating floorspace of 97in X 106in X 91in.
- **Machine Weight**: Maximum weight of 10,100lbs.
- **Table Weight Capacity**: Minimum capacity of 2,150lbs.
- **Glass Scales**: Glass linear scales in the X,Y,U, and V axis.
- **Tooling**: Includes SUB-X 1800 Submersible Precision Rotary Indexer, EGS-F EDM Ground System, and Pressurization Kit.
- **Post Processor**: Up-to-date post processor file for EdgeCAM software.
- **Controller Screens**: Minimum 19" Touch Panel screen.
- **Wire Chopper**: L Cut Wire Chopper to eliminate waste wire space.
- **Wire Feeder**: Jumbo Feeder with a capacity for a 44lbs wire spool and an auto wire threader. Wire diameter range from 0.002" to 0.012". Automatic wire feeder option for f0.05 Wire (Includes HTP Circuit).
- **Software Requirements**: Must operate with Sodick Control SPW (Smart Pulse Wire) CNC Smart Control including Taper Flex Neo 45 hardware/software and Heart NC CAD/CAM capabilities. Programs from current Sodick AQ537L wire EDM must be transferable to new Sodick ALN600G.
- **Training and Warranty**: Includes three-day onsite training for five users and a two-year extended warranty for parts and service.

Period of Performance
Delivery and installation must occur within 120 calendar days after the date of contract award.

Place of Performance
The product will be delivered to AFIT/ENWM at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.
