REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR HMI SUMMIT IV

As announced during AUSA 2023, the U.S. Army has a new human-machine integrated formations (HMI-F) initiative. These integrated formations will bring robotic systems into units alongside humans, with the goal of always having robots, not soldiers, make first contact with the enemy. ~Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth

GEN James Rainey has mobilized the U.S. Army Futures Command (AFC) under a unified goal of accelerated delivery on HMI-F. As a signature transformation in contact' initiative, AFC is working to deliver HMI-F capabilities to deployed warfighters for testing, analysis, and real-world feedback in 18-24 months. Cascading advances in HMI-F will continue under deliberate transformation' (2-7yrs) and concept-driven transformation' (7-15yrs) as outlined in the AFC Continuous Transformation framework.

The United States Army Futures Command (AFC) Headquarters will host the Human Machine Integration (HMI) Summit IV on 6-7 NOV at Texas A&M's George H.W. Bush Combat Development Complex (BCDC) in Bryan, TX. The HMI Summit is a collaborative venue that examines capabilities and concepts designed to inform existing requirements and capability gaps identified by the Army. The summit informs Industry, Academia, and Government partners of where the Army stands with HMI capabilities; and explores how partners can accelerate and reduce cost in prototype development. The intent of the event is to demonstrate some of the current Government solutions for Human Machine Integrated Formations to Industry and Academia and discuss current standards and interfaces for hardware and software. HMI Summit IV will be an engagement event focused on Army technology demonstrations that will inform HMI Summit VI in 2025, which is expected to include a demonstration and challenge event for Industry and Academia technologies to participate.

Registration for the HMI Summit IV (6-7 Nov 2024) is required to attend. Registration deadline is 18 Oct 2024. No registrations will be accepted after that date.

REGISTER HERE: REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED FOR HMI SUMMIT IV

OPTIONAL: The HMI Summit IV will be open to industry and academia with the Government providing demonstrations of Army technologies; there is no requirement for external demonstrations. However, interested participants and the wider HMI community are welcome to submit an overview of their HMI-related technology and/or organization via the AFC HMI Acceleration' engagement page hosted on Vulcan. These overviews will be used for Army awareness and potential future engagement; they are NOT part of a formal competitive selection.
