Background
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Ames Research Center (ARC) is seeking support for aeronautics and technology mission objectives, particularly the engineering services to operate, maintain, and upgrade the simulation facilities and the persistent software facilities located at ARC and the Flight Simulation Facilities at Langley Research Center (LaRC). The ARTS Facilities are used by NASA programs, other NASA Centers, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the Department of Defense (DOD), the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), other government organizations, industry, and universities.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide technical services to support the simulation facilities and the persistent software facilities located at NASA ARC and LaRC. This includes operating and maintaining simulators/facilities such as Crew-Vehicle Systems Research Facility, Vertical Motion Simulation Complex, FutureFlight Central, Air Traffic Control Laboratory, Federated Airspace Management Framework (Freddie), Air Traffic Management TestBed, Sherlock Data Warehouse, and WorldWind. The contractor will also be responsible for system engineering services, software development capabilities, property management, procurement services, training, travel management, and phase-out activities.

Place of Performance
The contract work will be performed at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Ames Research Center (ARC) and the Flight Simulation Facilities at Langley Research Center (LaRC).
