Aeris Research Benchtop x-ray Diffractometer or equivalent

Background
The Neutron Sciences Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is seeking to procure an Aeris Research benchtop x-ray diffractometer or an equivalent system. The goal of this contract is to enhance the laboratory's capabilities in analytical measurements, supporting their mission in neutron sciences and materials research.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a benchtop x-ray diffractometer that meets the specifications outlined in Attachment C - RFQ362044 Bill of Materials. Key features required include:
- A system configured in Bragg-Brentano geometry with a radius of 145 mm.
- A 300 W high voltage generator operating at 40 kV/7.5 mA, along with an Empyrean X-ray tube Cu LFF and a PIXcel1 D line detector for fast and precise operation.
- User-friendly touch display and external loading of samples.
- Included components such as beta-filters, sample spinner for 51.5 mm sample holders, Soller slits, fixed slit optics, and three powder sample holders.
- The system must come with the installed proprietary Aeris Instrument Suite for instrument control, data acquisition, and data management, including RoboRiet for automated data analysis.
- Additional items listed in the Bill of Materials include various sample holders and accessories designed to support both front-loading and back-loading techniques.

The contract will be performed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
