Background
The contract is issued by the Louisville District, focusing on Architect-Engineer Services for Geotechnical Engineering within military mission boundaries. The goal is to procure services under the Brooks A-E Act, emphasizing quality control and performance evaluations for task orders.

Work Details
The contractor will perform various geotechnical engineering tasks including:

- Drilling and sampling of soil and rock
- Instrumentation installation and evaluation
- Inspection of geotechnical investigations
- Laboratory testing
- Stability and seepage analysis
- Geotechnical evaluations and reports
- Field observations
- Material investigations
- Geophysical investigations
- Volume computations
- Engineering literature searches
- Geologic field mapping
- Seismological studies
- Surveying
- Using geotechnical software for analyses.

Specific services may include conventional auger drilling (standard penetration sampling, coring), cone penetration testing (CPT), sonic drilling as needed, and site location surveying with metric dimensions when required. All submissions must conform to Bentley Open Roads format unless specified otherwise.

Period of Performance
The contract period is cumulative and shall not exceed five years from the date of award.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed within the Louisville District Military Mission Boundaries.
