Background
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) is seeking to augment its Advanced Technology Development Department's Airborne Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Engineering Services.

The mission of NAWCAD is to provide affordable, reliable, effective, and flexible avionics and mission systems critical to naval aviation strategies. This solicitation aims to gather information from industry to improve the Request for Proposal (RFP) and identify potential small business set-aside opportunities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide support across various functional areas including administrative, business, engineering, information technology, logistics, and program management. Key tasks include:
- Engineering, management, and technical labor for technology assessment and development.
- Fabrication and conducting laboratory and field experiments.
- Participation in ship and air exercises, testing, installation, system integration, maintenance, aircrew training, fleet assistance/training.
- Procurement activities and environmental compliance documentation.
- Support in technology areas such as Airborne ASW acoustic and non-acoustic systems; Information Processing; Communication; Flight; Navigation; Identification; Recording; Mine Counter Measures; Radar; Electro Optic (EO) and Infrared systems; Electronic Warfare (EW).
- Applications include special mission sensors for acoustic ASW, software enhancements for imagery and video systems, system prototyping, active/passive display enhancements, Information Assurance (IA), Anti-Tampering (AT), Cybersecurity concepts and techniques.

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance is expected to start in the 4th quarter of FY26.

Place of Performance
The majority of work (90%) will be performed at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD and NAWCAD Detachment Crane Indiana. The remaining 10% will occur at the contractor's site with potential temporary performance at other government or contractor sites as needed.
