Advanced Research for Air-delivered Munitions (ARAM)

Background
The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL/RWK) at Eglin AFB, FL is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research aimed at identifying potential sources capable of performing Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) activities for the Advanced Research for Air-delivered Munitions (ARAM) program.

The goal is to advance air-delivered munitions technology and support strategic objectives in areas such as Hypersonics and Modular/Scalable UAVs. This initiative is guided by the Mission Analysis Driving Technology (MADTech) philosophy, which emphasizes mission effect and integration by design.

Work Details
The contract encompasses a full spectrum of R&D activities across three primary research areas:

1. **Mission Systems**: Focus on advancing air-armament technologies including:
- Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) simulation for guided weapons.
- Development of scene projector technology and RF simulator technology.
- Flight motion simulation technology for realistic HWIL testing.
- Automatic Target Recognition (ATR) systems for enhanced target detection.
- Research into biologically-inspired sensing and control technologies.

2. **Mission Management**: Develop technologies for weapon autonomy and control including:
- Robust navigation solutions for GPS-denied environments.
- Technologies to control dynamics of high-performance weapons.
- Research into multi-domain networked intelligent weapons and UAS experimentation.

3. **Mission Design**: Apply advanced computing technologies through:
- Development of digital engineering methodologies and AI integration.
- Creation of optimized digital ecosystems for data management in weapon systems.
- Research into novel computing capabilities and secure network infrastructures.
