Description

The AMMPS systems are specialized, medium-sized Jet Propellant 8 (JP-8) fueled generators used to supply electricity to military systems away from fixed electrical power sources. The generators are specialized pieces of equipment due to the environmental conditions they must operate in and the weapon systems they power. The proposed acquisition is for production orders and delivery of AMMPS to meet the ongoing needs of the Army and DoD services for medium sized mobile power generators requirements.

This presolicitation is serving as notice that the Government intends to post a solicitation for the AMMPS systems in July 2023. Questions will be accepted until the end of this presolicitation announcement.

All questions must be submitted by e-mail to Ariel J. Martin, ariel.j.martin2.civ@army.mil. The e-mail subject line must read "AMMPS Presolicitation RFI."

Background
The AMMPS systems are specialized, medium-sized Jet Propellant 8 (JP-8) fueled generators used to supply electricity to military systems away from fixed electrical power sources. The generators are specialized pieces of equipment due to the environmental conditions they must operate in and the weapon systems they power. The proposed acquisition is for production orders and delivery of AMMPS to meet the ongoing needs of the Army and DoD services for medium sized mobile power generators requirements. The AMMPS program met this requirement by providing a family of generators sets that meets the needs of the DoD.

Work Details
This Statement of Work (SOW) defines the requirements for the re-procurement of the 5-60 kW Advanced Medium Mobile Power Sources (AMMPS) generator set configurations as specified herein, to meet Army Acquisition Objective (AAO) and other Department of Defense (DoD) customer requirements.
The AMMPS systems are specialized, medium-sized Jet Propellant 8 (JP-8) fueled generators used to supply electricity to military systems away from fixed electrical power sources. The generators are specialized pieces of equipment due to the environmental conditions they must operate in and the weapon systems they power.
