Description

NASA Johnson Space Center (NASA JSC) plans to conduct an Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology (IT) Solutions (AEGIS) Industry Day in order to facilitate open communication with industry. The AEGIS Industry Day event will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CDT) at the NASA JSC Gilruth Recreation Center, in the Alamo Ballroom. One-on-one meetings with the requirements development team will be offered following Industry Day, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (CDT) and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12, and, if necessary, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13.

CONTRACT DESCRIPTION
The AEGIS contract is a follow-on to the NASA Integrated Communications Services (NICS) contract. AEGIS will continue to provide products and services to support Agency requirements for the Communications Program (CP). The CP provides mission critical data and voice services to connect Flight Projects to Space Communications and Network (SCaN) Tracking Networks and other resources, including Space Network (SN), Near Earth Network (NEN), Deep Space Network (DSN), Flight Dynamics Facility (FDF), Launch Complexes and satellite manufacturer and test facilities. CP's Mission Services directly support Human Space Flight (HSF) and the International Space Station (ISS), including in-country Russia IT services. NASA considers its IT communications infrastructure assets vital to its continuing success as the world leader in aeronautics, space exploration, and scientific research; and to advance NASA's mission to the moon and Mars.

INDUSTRY DAY DESCRIPTION:
The AEGIS Industry Day is open to firms that are interested in pursuing contracting opportunities on the AEGIS procurement, whether they have performed work at NASA or not. All interested parties are encouraged to participate in the Industry Day. Attendance is neither required nor a prerequisite for proposal submission and will not be considered a factor during the evaluation process of any subsequent request for proposal.

INDUSTRY DAY GOALS
1. Provide industry with a current and proposed contract overview, a synopsis of the AEGIS scope of work and an understanding of the planned procurement strategy.
2. Provide industry understanding of the Government's current vision and objectives.
3. Promote competition and solicit feedback on the proposed acquisition.
4. Provide industry with the opportunity to communicate with the Government early enough in the procurement process to provide input on the proposed AEGIS procurement strategy.

NASA encourages offerors to submit questions and comments in writing via the AEGIS procurement website. The Government will officially respond to all written questions by posting responses to the beta.SAM.gov and AEGIS websites after Industry Day.

ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS
To facilitate interactive communications with industry, NASA personnel will be available for private one-on-one meetings. NASA will hold one-on-one meetings with industry from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (CDT) and from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 12th and, if necessary, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13th, to discuss the anticipated AEGIS procurement. The meetings will be held at the scheduled times provided in the response to the RSVP. Any company may request a one-on-one meeting, regardless of whether they are interested in proposing as a prime contractor or subcontractor.

The one-on-one meetings are intended to be question and answer sessions, in which neither side will be making a formal presentation; recording devices (including, but not limited to, photo, video, and audio-recording) are prohibited. One-on-one meetings can be attended either in person and/or via teleconference.

The following topics may be discussed during one-on-one meeting:
1. The general purpose of the announced procurement;
2. Any information about NASA that has already made accessible to the public or is otherwise being made available to all potential offerors;
3. Historical information about the general nature or scope of prior contracts whose requirements will be addressed in whole or in part under a follow-on procurement;
4. Information that describes the Federal procurement process as defined by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), NASA FAR Supplement (NFS), or other published procurement policy documents; and
5. Procurement-specific information already published, such as information contained in the acquisition forecast, sample Performance Work Statement (PWS), and pre-solicitation synopses.

Questions regarding the subjects below will not be discussed:
1. Proprietary or confidential business information of incumbent contractor(s) or other business entities performing similar or ongoing efforts;
2. Privacy Act-protected information, such as incumbent contractor employees' personal data;
3. Trade Secrets Act-protected information;
4. Speculation on what the Government might be looking for in proposals;
