Administrative Simplification Enforcement and Testing Tool (ASETT)

Background
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is conducting market research to identify potential qualified vendors with the technical ability to provide all management, supervision, administration, and labor for the Administrative Simplification Enforcement and Tool Testing (ASETT) contract. The contract involves maintenance and administration of the CMS Administrative Simplification Enforcement and Tool Testing (ASETT), as well as providing experience and support to CMS for the CMS Enforcement Program, which enforces HIPAA compliance with adopted transaction standards, code sets, unique identifiers, and operating rules.

Work Details
The vendor is required to have experience with HIPAA adopted standards for transactions and code sets, unique identifiers, and operating rules, knowledge of HIPAA regulations, technical experience and capability to administer and maintain the CMS enforcement tool, technical expertise to maintain the operating and enhancement of a HIPAA transaction testing tool, experience with conducting HIPAA compliance audits, experience with assessing civil money penalties for non-compliance with HIPAA requirements, Fed Ramp approval, experience with CMS Technical Review Board and CMS System Life Cycle requirements, experience with the Salesforce and Salesforce Lightning platform.
The work is currently in the 8(a) program.
