Adjuvant Comparison and Characterization   5

Background
The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is issuing this Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to solicit proposals for a research program focused on the comparison and characterization of multiple adjuvants using various vaccine/antigen platforms.

The goal is to establish immunological profiles, or 'immune fingerprints', of these adjuvants, which will help evaluate their effectiveness in eliciting immune responses.

Work Details
The contractor will be required to perform the following tasks:
1. Conduct comparative studies using 'omics' technology platforms including genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, RNAi screens, proteomics, metabolomics, lipidomics, and glycomics;
2. Perform T cell functional assays such as cytotoxicity, cytokine production, and epitope specificity;
3. Assess B cell and antibody profiles including isotype assessment, avidity, epitope fine-specificity, and systems serology.

The contractor must furnish all necessary services, qualified personnel, materials, equipment, and facilities not otherwise provided by the government to complete these tasks.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will be determined upon award.

Place of Performance
The work will primarily be performed at the National Institutes of Health located at 5601 Fishers Lane, Rockville, MD 20852.
