Background
Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute (SIPI) is a national Indian community college operated by the Bureau of Indian Education, U.S. Department of the Interior. It was founded in 1971 with the goal of providing higher education opportunities for American Indians and Alaska Natives from Federally recognized tribes across the United States. SIPI provides associate’s and/or transfer degree programs in career technical fields and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. SIPI was designated a land-grant institution in 1994.

Work Details
The contract requires educational services from a regionally accredited public four-year institute of higher education for part-time and/or adjunct instructors to assist SIPI in developing and implementing college-level courses and a limited number of developmental courses for classroom and distance learning students. The contractor is responsible for advertising, recruiting, screening, and employing appropriately credentialed adjunct instructors to teach college-level courses that fulfill accreditation requirements, creating a pool of adjunct recruits readily available to meet SIPI’s needs, and evaluating qualifications for experienced, qualified instructors with a minimum of a Master’s and/or terminal degree in the subject matter being taught.
