Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a modification to order (DO) N0001923F0025 under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001921G0014 to General Atomics (GA), San Diego, California (CA) for additional level of effort (LOE) and completion hours for efforts in support of sustainment software, EMALS Depot planning, AAG SW stability, electrical isolation tag-out, Load Strobe A, and MWS Permissive. Supplies and services to support these efforts include engineering, configuration management, logistics support, direct technical support, and program planning for the In-Service Support phase of the EMALS and AAG systems aboard the FORD-Class Aircraft carriers.

The Period of performance for base and options is through 31 December 2027.

This acquisition was pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S. Code 3204(a)(1), as implemented Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements . As the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of EMALS and AAG, GA is the only responsible source with the access, unique knowledge, experience, special skills, facilities, manufacturing techniques, and technical data required to fulfill the EMALS and AAG in-service support requirements.
